Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR)

Mechanical ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) uses the heat in the outgoing stale air to warm the incoming fresh air, heat recovery systems do not replace the need for a boiler or other technology to heat the radiators it simply compliments the existing heating system allowing it to work more efficiently. Heat recovery ventilators work independent of the heating system, each room has its own ventilation pipework that feeds air in and out of the space, these all lead back to the centralised heat exchanger contained within the unit.  The highly efficient heat exchanger can recover up to 90% of the heat from the stale outgoing air transferring it to the fresh incoming air.

In your home a heat recovery system can help with energy costs helping the house stay warm, good ventilation provided through a heat recovery unit can help create a healthier environment for you and your family.  Without good ventilation in your home, problems such as condensation and mould growth may occur.  Household dust mites thrive in such conditions and can lead to conditions such as asthma and other health-related issues.
